PLAINSHOT / PRIVACY

Privacy Policy

Last updated (shot ideas added)

Your finished photos stay on your iPhone. Live coaching runs on the phone itself. Once per product, a single small preview frame is checked on our server to suggest shot ideas, and it is not stored. No accounts, no ads, no tracking.

Who we are

Plainshot is made by Humble Loop, a one-person studio run by Mehmet Burak Avci, who is responsible for this app and this policy. Contact: info@ajansmba.com.

Camera and photos

While you shoot, Plainshot takes quiet frames from the camera and analyses them on your device to tell you what to fix: where the product is, the light, the background, the tilt. This uses Apple's on-device frameworks (Vision and, on iPhones with Apple Intelligence, Apple's on-device language model). The frames are deleted right after they are analysed. These live frames are never sent anywhere.

The photos you take are stored in the app's temporary folder until you save or share them. When you tap save, they go to your photo library. When you tap share, they go wherever you choose. We never see them.

Shot ideas (one preview frame per product)

When you start a new product with Pro (or one of your free products), Plainshot sends one small preview frame (about 768 pixels wide) to our server so it can name the product, point out what to fix before shooting and suggest three shot ideas. Our server passes the frame to Anthropic's Claude model, which returns the text. Anthropic does not train on it and keeps API inputs only for a limited period for safety review. Neither we nor our server store the frame; it exists only for the few seconds the request takes. The frame carries no name, account or location, and the photos you then take are not sent.

Processors: Cloudflare (hosting of our server) and Anthropic (image analysis). See Anthropic's privacy policy.

What the app stores on your phone

Purchases

Subscriptions are sold and charged by Apple. We use RevenueCat to check whether your Pro subscription is active. For that, RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID and your purchase history (product, price, dates) from Apple. It does not receive your name, email or photos. See RevenueCat's privacy policy. We use this information only to unlock Pro and to understand subscription numbers in aggregate.

What we do not do

Permissions

Deleting your data

Deleting the app removes everything it stored. Photos you saved to your library stay there until you delete them yourself. To ask for the anonymous purchase record held by RevenueCat to be deleted, email info@ajansmba.com from the address on your Apple receipt, or with your App Store order ID.

Children

Plainshot is a tool for sellers and is not directed at children under 13.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR or CCPA), you can ask what personal data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and complain to your data protection authority. Because the app keeps almost nothing, most answers will be "nothing", but please ask: info@ajansmba.com.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date. If a change affects how your data is handled, the app will tell you before it applies.
